How to use this file

Fill in the job details
When you open this file a setup dialog appears automatically. Enter the client name, company, property address, total price, and a brief scope summary. Hit Create Proposal — all fields populate instantly.

Edit and build out the proposal
Click any text to edit it directly. Use the top bar to toggle sections on or off — hide what you don't need for smaller jobs. Add materials rows, price line items, and exclusions with the + Add buttons. Click the cover photo area or any image slot to upload photos and drawings from your computer. Add a caption by clicking directly on the image.

Host it online with Netlify Drop
Go to netlify.com/drop in your browser. Drag and drop this HTML file onto the page. Netlify gives you a free live URL in about 30 seconds — something like https://graceful-altera-abc123.netlify.app. No account required. Each proposal gets its own unique URL.

Send the client a read-only link
Take the Netlify URL and add ?sign=1 to the end of it. Example:
https://graceful-altera-abc123.netlify.app?sign=1

Send that link to the client by email or text. They will see the full proposal in read-only mode — nothing is editable — with a signature pad at the bottom.

Get notified when they sign
When the client draws their signature, fills in their name and date, and hits Authorize & Submit Proposal, you receive an email notification at info@alteraroofservices.ca with their name, company, PO number, date signed, and a copy of the signature image.

Save a PDF copy
Use the ⬇ Save PDF button in the top bar at any time to print the proposal to PDF. If a signature has been drawn it will be captured and included in the PDF automatically. Use this to save a copy for your records.

Exclusions & Conditions

This quote is subject to the following exclusions and conditions unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Hidden or Concealed Conditions

    This proposal is based on a visual inspection of accessible areas only. Any concealed damage, including but not limited to structural deficiencies, deterioration of the roof deck surface, framing issues, inadequate ventilation, asbestos-containing materials, or previous improper installations discovered during removal shall be considered extra work and will be documented and submitted for written approval prior to proceeding.

  • Weather Conditions

    Altera Roof Services Ltd. reserves the right to delay installation due to unsafe weather conditions including rain, high winds, frost, or extreme temperatures. The contractor is not responsible for delays caused by weather events beyond its control.

  • Site Access & Safety

    Client agrees to provide clear access to the property and roof. Altera Roof Services Ltd. is not responsible for minor incidental damage caused by necessary access and debris removal.

  • Project Timeline

    A confirmed start date will be provided upon receipt of deposit and scheduling confirmation. Altera Roof Services will make every reasonable effort to complete the project within the estimated timeframe.

  • Change Orders

    Any work not specifically outlined in this scope will require written authorization and may affect the project cost and timeline.

  • Permits & Licensing

    Unless otherwise stated, permit acquisition is excluded. If permits are required by the local authority having jurisdiction, they will be quoted separately.

  • Electrical & Mechanical Components

    Disconnection or modification of electrical, satellite, solar, or mechanical equipment is excluded unless specified. The building owner is responsible for arranging removal/reinstallation of such items unless included in writing.

  • Roof Deck Repairs

    Replacement of damaged or deteriorated roof decking is excluded from this proposal unless explicitly included in the scope above.

Quality Assurance & Supervision

All work performed under this contract will be directly supervised and monitored by a Red Seal Journeyman Roofer. Altera Roof Services Ltd. is committed to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and ensures that all installation practices comply with manufacturer specifications, industry best practices, and applicable building codes. The presence of a certified Red Seal tradesperson on site guarantees that quality control is maintained throughout every phase of the project.

Workmanship Guarantee

Altera Roof Services Ltd. stands behind the quality of our work. All labour performed under this proposal is guaranteed for a period of two (2) years from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship directly related to the scope of work outlined above and does not cover damage resulting from extreme weather events, third-party actions, or pre-existing conditions outside of our scope.
